Global Commercial & Access Strategy Executive
Tomas brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning commercial strategy, market access, government affairs, and global business development.
As Senior Director with over 15 years at Johnson & Johnson, he has led cross-functional, multicultural teams across Europe, the U.S., Latin America, Africa, and Asia. He delivered over 65 million units and achieved consecutive years of strong sales growth. In his global role, he has worked extensively with WHO, UNICEF, and the Pan American Health Organization, coordinating large-scale access initiatives for over 20 products, including HIV, vaccines, tuberculosis, COVID-19, and other public health priorities.
His impact has been recognized with 12 awards in the last five years and with more than 20 awards across his career. He also brings more than a decade of experience in Latin America, where he held senior leadership positions that strengthened external affairs, market development, and partnerships with regional governments.
His educational journey includes degrees earned with honors in Business Administration, Marketing, and Market Access, complemented by specialized executive programs at Harvard University. He completed a Master’s in Digital Marketing and is now finalizing a Doctorate in Business Administration, continuing to contribute to the academic community through lectures and collaborations. For over a decade, he has served as Professor of International Negotiation, with a focus on intercultural dynamics, and for the past 3 years as Professor of Market Access Strategy.
Through his academic and executive roles, he continues to build bridges between industry, academia, and global policy platforms, reinforcing his commitment to improving access to medicines worldwide.
